Once again, that wedding thing

October 22, 2007

The wedding is officially in Clearwater, FL on January 5th.  Kijam!  Even if I'm in the hospital, it will still happen.

I've been doing well.  I will have a PET scan on October 29th and discuss it with Deconti on November 1st before my next round of chemo.

Yes, Da [USF] Bulls lost.  That's OK.  I can handle it.  I had no illusions of grandeur.  I had delusions of bats, though.

Adam ordered Guitar Hero III for me for my birthday.  It's an expensive guitar-playing game for the Nintendo Wii.  Awesome.  Adam simultaneously quit his UPS job.  Yeah, that's how he does things.

I went to the free jazz concert here at Coachman Park and only got stabbed by one Cuban.  Yeah, Dan, that's right.  Quit being racist.  You have black ancestors, so you go NAACP on a nigga, but because you know a few feisty Cubans, one of whom will pull a knife out at work during a fight, you were scared of a jazz festival.  A jazz festival.  The hardcore gangstas don't show up.  There were lots of scary white people there, though.  Arturo Sandoval was cool and the experimental jammers Medeski, Martin, and Wood did a nice...

Cease Fire? Who cares? I saw 4 midgets

October 10, 2007

The Department of Children and Families representative who called me because I requested a hearing said I can get $649 share-of-cost Medicaid.  The only difference between that and normal Medicaid is that if my total medical bills in any month are less than $649, I have to pay them.  Otherwise, Medicaid will cover everything that they usually cover.  Of course, my bills are more than that just with the one shot that I have delivered, Neulasta, which costs about $3000.  So it should be good, as long as it is real.  I need some stuff in writing or confirmation that it's working again.

I saw four midgets with Swiss Army knives get eaten by a lion they were fighting in Zimbabwe.  Not really, but wouldn't that be cool?  Our new cat, Biggie, the Notorious B.I.G., ne Marmaduke, is too crazy to have his nails clipped or claw caps put on by us.  But we need to get it done professionally before he kills one of us.  He's big enough to.

Dedicated to Biggie and Trav and Jamie's whimsical scaredy-cat, Gizmo, I am going to start a new pet store, Petsdom.  It actually should be Petsdumb, but I want to make a...

Eyepatchy War

October 6, 2007

Problems solved and wars begun.

My computer monitor had been tinted blue, now it is a black screen that says it's stuck in power save mode.  We got Ana's monitor back from Grandma because she doesn't use it.

No organization, not Medicaid, United Healthcare, or the Department of Children and Families, told me that my health insurance and Medicaid would be ending on September 30.  After the fact--that gives me plenty of time to prepare for an alternate plan, right?  On disability, my option is to wait 2 years to get Medicare.  My extra disability money, relative to the lower Supplemental Security Income I was getting before, is supposed to pay for food and health insurance.  Oh, no one will cover my pre-existing condition.  How helpful that no one let me know it would be like this on the outside!  Now I must be determined by the DCF to be medically needy so I can get health coverage again now.  Moffitt will help.  They want services covered instead of providing me charity for 2 years, of course.  That was Rockin' Friday.  The Eyepatchy War has just begun.  More later, hound dogs.  DCF also says I may have to pay them...
